If you’re thinking of having new curtains in your home to give your rooms a lift, what do you need to consider when choosing new curtains? Here at A1 Blinds & curtains we have put together some helpful tips to think about when making the right curtain choice for you & your home.
What’s The Right Curtain Size
When you are looking for new curtains, be it for one room or every room in your home, getting the right size very much matters. There is nothing worse than buying curtains and finding out there to short or they are too long and gather on the floor.
Take your time and measure each window and think about how you want your room to look when it comes to the length. Some like their curtains to go just passed the windowsill, some like them to go to the floor. The choice is yours but remember measure twice and you won’t get any mistakes or costly issues.
How Much Should Curtains Cost
Cost can be a factor in purchasing new curtains. Set your budget and try to stick to it, do be aware that spending your hard-earned money on quality curtains, will save you money in the long run. As with above, measuring is key, make sure your new curtains are measure to the perfect fit. The best idea can be to bring in a high-quality complete curtain service from a trusted fitter, that way you will be able to ensure you have the best quality at an affordable price.
The Best Curtains For Light Control
Light control is key, no matter which room you intend to update your curtains with. Blackout curtains are ideal for bedrooms, when an over lit room can affect your sleep. A lighter material for living spaces provide an extra layer of privacy in the evening. Not forgetting of course, thermally lined curtains are idea for providing the extra layer of warmth in the colder months.
The Best Curtain Design Newport
One of the most important points to mention when picking out your curtains is finding the best look for your curtains. If your room has a strong look, you may decide to tone down the curtains with a softer shade or make them as strong as the room itself. It’s all about matching them with your theme and complementing your room with colour & pattern.
